Motorcycle Chassis Handling Upgrade Kits

Teknik is all about performance suspension, so these parts connect those forks & shocks to your bike.

Think of your motorbike's chassis as a skeleton - all the organs to make it work get bolted on. With a headlight & gauges for a face, a steering head stem as a neck, electronic sensors & wiring as the nerves, shoulders made from triple clamps & handlebars (with optional extra steering damper muscles) connecting the forks as arms, plus stock linkages & swingarms as leg bones. Yeah, I know they are called rear swing ARMS & front fork LEGS - but you don't spend much time riding backward, right? Close enough then.

Like your skeleton, your chassis needs flexible joints connecting all those metal bones. Don't forget to maintain your steering bearings or to service sticky or crunchy suspension mounting bearings.

Teknik Chassis

At Teknik Motorsport, we specialise in performance suspension, and these essential chassis components ensure precise handling and stability by connecting your forks and shocks to the frame.

A motorcycle’s chassis is its structural foundation—every component that contributes to performance is mounted to it. The steering head stem provides directional stability, while electronic sensors and wiring optimise suspension behaviour. Triple clamps and handlebar mounts reinforce front-end rigidity, with optional steering dampers minimising unwanted movement and headshake. The forks provide front suspension control, while stock linkages and swingarms define rear suspension geometry and articulation.

Precision and durability rely on well-maintained joints and bearings. Regular servicing of steering head bearings and suspension linkage bearings prevents premature wear, reduces friction, and ensures smooth suspension movement. Maintaining these components is critical for optimising handling performance.

Replacing worn-out chassis bearings is a straightforward process. Corroded or fatigued factory components can be swapped for high-quality roller bearings, precision races, grease seals, and collars, restoring optimal chassis function.

Teknik Motorsport stocks a complete range of chassis bearing kits, including genuine OEM parts and high-performance aftermarket options. Whether you need individual service components or complete rebuild kits, we have the right solution. For those requiring professional installation, our expert suspension workshop is available for precision servicing.

Suspension geometry plays a crucial role in ride dynamics. Lowering kits optimise ergonomics and centre of gravity without compromising handling, while lowering links or raising links allow for fine-tuned rear suspension adjustments. On certain models, fork tube position can be altered within the triple clamps to maintain balance. Linkage kits come pre-assembled with bearings, seals, and grease nipples for durability and ease of maintenance.

Keep your motorcycle performing at its peak with regular servicing and high-quality components. Proper lubrication and precision adjustments ensure smooth operation and extended service life.

Unlike our poor old meaty arthritic bits, it's quite easy to press out the rusty worn factory components & swap in a new set of roller bearings & races, rubber grease seals & collars. Good as new!
Teknik Motorsports carry a range of bearing servicing parts from genuine OEM manufacturers as well as performance aftermarket brands, available as individual consumables or complete rebuild packs. But if it's all too much to DIY, we can try to fit you into our busy suspension workshop.

If your human frame doesn't quite match the height of your motorcycle's, then both ends can be lowered using a front & rear kit to keep geometry perfect. Lowering Links or equivalent Raising Links adjust the back end alone - you can drop the fork tubes through the clamps on some models to help even it out. Link kits are pre-assembled with bearings, seals & grease nipples, so installation & maintenance is easy.

If only your human body was this easy to repair & get spares for! We'd all be in better shape. Give it a good service with plenty of lube!
