Find your Bike:
Think of your motorbike's chassis as a skeleton - all the organs to make it work get bolted on. With electronic sensors & wiring as the nerves, shoulders made from triple clamps & handlebars connecting the forks as arms, plus stock linkages & swingarms as leg bones. They're called rear swing ARMS & front fork LEGS - but you don't ride backwards, right? So close enough.
If your shorter human frame doesn't quite match the height of the big metal motorcycle bones, then both ends can be lowered using one of these complete sets, giving you greater control & stability. If your seat is too tall to ride comfortably, keeping you up on tippy toes, these drop it while keeping your geometry perfect.
Lowering Links or their opposite Raising Links adjust the back end alone, you can sometimes drop the fork tubes through the clamps on some bikes to help even it out, but it still changes the factory riding experience. All our link kits come pre-assembled with bearings, seals & grease nipples, so installation & maintenance is easy. You'll be improving your suspension by replacing your rusty, sticky or crunchy old shock linkage bearings too!

You need to open the front fork legs & rear shock absorber to fit the billet alloy spacer components - these stops limit the damper travel to a lower height. Most sets also include a shorter kickstand, which many people forget about till they try to use the bike and can't park it! Although these assemblies are more specialised to fit than a DIY dropped link, they are more comfortable & comprehensive. If rebuilding both forks & shocks sounds like too much, we can try to fit you into our busy Teknik Motorsport Workshop.
Once you've serviced & lowered your suspension you will need to tune your damping to suit - there is now less travel to absorb those bumps, so you need to turn up the compression & rebound clickers to compensate. Your sag will have changed now too - use our free suspension setup tips to set your spring preload correctly.
If only your human body was this easy to repair & get spares for! We'd all be in better shape. Give it a good service with plenty of lube!
