Tuning your suspension to suit different terrain and rider weights is essential to winning a race, so if your motorbike is meant for adventure or racing either offroad or on track, the rear shock probably has adjustable damping. These 'clickers' change how much oil flows through the valving shims, so act like taps for water. The compression plug assembly bolts directly into the shock's inner body - with basic models having one clicker, while more advanced dampers have separate high & low comp assemblies for finer adjustment - many OEM KYB & Showa dampers have hi-speed as the outer nut and low-speed as the inner coloured screw. Some coilovers no longer have rebound adjustment at the base of the shock shaft, combining the reb adjuster together with the comp ones into a complete 'triple adjuster' tuned from the side of the shock body.

Workshops and capable DIY garage tuners can save some money buying individual parts to repair their compression adjusters, but these complete replacement assemblies save time. We also have a complete range of valving shims to help you adjust the tuning.
