Motorcycle Shock Assembled Internals
Even if your rear shocks are rebuildable (not all of them are - see our FAQ on shock servicing), repairing a complete motorbike shock absorber can be a daunting task even for a skilled mechanic. There is a vast number of components inside, all with important tolerances & torque settings, and that's just the surface - that main rod looks solid but it's a tube full of even more internal parts!
But what if you could give your old damper a completely pre-built heart transplant? It comes fully assembled, you just bolt it in, saving hours. This quick trick is probably still beyond the average DIY garage tinkerer - you need the right suspension oil and you have to charge the repaired shock with nitrogen gas - but this can be a great halfway point for non-experts to save heaps of money by not replacing a salvageable coilover.

We sell all the parts sub-assemblies separately; shock shaft with clevis/yoke & rebound adjuster, the damping piston with band, the complete oil seal case, the lower shock body end cap, the rubber bump stop and the spring seat cup it sits in.
But you still need to put them together and add your valving shim stacks. Those damping shims sets can take suspension nerds years of testing to get spot on (watch our head tech Nick as he explains testing); these come with a nice OEM ballpark already done.
