Stock coilovers are engineered to a cost, so manufacturers cut corners on factory compression & rebound damping parts & adjustability. This leaves room for aftermarket performance parts to give existing rear shocks a DIY advantage, so if it's not in our other categories, here's where they live. These odds & ends are final touches - cool caps & covers, exotic low friction coatings, specialist spacers & collars, billet damper pistons, suspension internal modifications, preload lock rings to prevent the coil spring working loose over bumps. Even a weld in kit to convert non-rebuildable shock absorbers to servicable - saving on future repairs & allowing tuning!
You can't get smooth balanced precision with old fluids, duct tape & zip ties, so make sure you've completed the cheaper mods & upgrade options beforehand - correct spring rate, sag height & preload setting, well adjusted damping are the cake - these improved high quality replacement components are the icing.

Watching racing videos, do the winners look like they're being kicked around? That circuit star can lean further, without braking dive, sailing over cornering bumps that push you off line.
