Sometimes you need a unique tool for your motorbike. Sometimes the manufacturer doesn't have a choice & needs to assemble it to fit an oddly designed shape, but other times they're just trying to stop you getting to the internals, hoping you'll pay their repair department to fix it. Improvising takes forever plus you're more likely to slip & hurt your bike's components or your own body. We've all done it though.
