Diamond-Like Carbon coatings stand out as the lowest friction coatings available for motorcycle fork & shock shafts today. These coatings exhibit a desirable combination of a low coefficient of friction & high micro-hardness making them extremely effective in many tribological & wear applications.
DLC coatings are formed when ionized & decomposed carbon or hydrocarbon land on the surface of a substrate with energy typically 10-300eV. They can be deposited at low substrate temperatures (~200°C). DLC films may possess exceptional mechanical (high hardness), optical (high optical band gap), electrical (high electrical resistivity), chemical (inert), and tribological (low friction and wear coefficient) properties.

Warranty covers defect in material and workmanship in the KYB product. KYBs sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty is limited to the exchange/replacement of a defective KYB product in accordance with this limited warranty. There is no warranty on vehicles used in competition or used in a competition like manner.
