KroozR WP XPlor 48mm Forks Flow Adjuster Upgrade Kit - Gen2 - for 2020-on KTM / Husqvarna

The successful FA48 Flow Adjuster Kit has been redeveloped and expanded in our generation 2 kit - offering an improved under-hand feeling matched up with big hit support for your WP XPlor Forks.

This 2nd Generation kit still includes the powerful Flow Adjuster mechanism but it is further improved to offer more adjustability from hard to soft as well as a more progressive and plush system. This allows soft plush settings in the trees with the added support for steep downhills and fast drop offs when needed.

The largest benefit from this kit is the ability to switch from extreme enduro plush to a firmer MX setting in seconds - with a feeling that will rival any expensive cartridge insert modification. Quick on-the-fly big swings in compression is instantaneous and offers a completely different feeling on trail. This was only achieved by the addition of key parts and setting testing out on real-world forest trails.

Rebound damping is in both fork legs; spreading the load evenly through both sides and giving a superior on trail feeling. Damping adjustment remains via the OEM red clicker on the top of the RHS fork cap.

Key Features:

• Flow Adjuster Post Assembly - the 2nd Gen Flow Adjuster mechanism is driven via the stock fork cap damping adjuster but can be used with our popular Gen1 Fine Increment FA Adjuster Cap. The complete post is ready to be bolted straight onto the LHS fork cartridge rod to replace the weaker factory setup. Pre-assembled piston and valving shim stacks with our best tested settings allow for an easy install with no confusing shim setting or alignment. This powerful mechanism offers a true soft to firm adjustment enabling you to dial in your preferred fork hold up and eliminate dive in seconds. We usually tune in a range of 10 clicks with this system - covering everything from trail plush soft to a firmer motocross-like feel with strong holdup.
• Midvalve / Rebound Post Assembly - designed to replace the OEM WP unit without the need to remove or replace any shims or setting. The complete post assembly is ready to bolt straight onto the RHS fork cartrige rod. Setting and valving is already installed to match and balance with the FA Post in the opposing fork leg.
• Hydro Stop Fork Cartridge Top - a replacement part without the bleed holes that are used on the stock XPlor cartridge tops and they simply bolt on. This modification transforms the fork into 2 balanced legs spreading the load evenly across the pair. It gives a huge improvement in under hand feeling straight away.
• Base Adjusters - once the fork Flow Adjuster clicker settings are all dialled in to suit you can easily fine tune the small sharp hits out on the trails without upsetting the balance and overall stiffness the FA Mechanism offers. For rocks or logs and anything small just adjust the fork underside clickers. The usual range we find is between 4-20 clicks out. For most bikes we near ended close to 12-14 clicks out across many test riders.

Settings

Each kit comes with 3 shim/setting options. We install Medium on all our kits unless advised otherwise - please contact us to have us pre set your option to Soft or Hard. A setting sheet is supplied

• Soft - A plush setting which absorbs all intial hits with ease. We have great results with this with our Vet / Older guys that don't want to get beat up all day on long rides
• Medium - A great all round average fitness and average speed setting. A balance between soft and firm. Bump absorption with great hold up.
• Firm - Ex MX racer or fit / fast / tall guy riding on the trails at pace? This setting works well for guys that like a firmer motocross style feeling. Rip hard fast trails with ease. Still not too firm but enough to charge hard. This setting was developed with our in-house Vet MX racer after loving testing on the KTM EXC range.
