Our kit is designed to improve suspension responsiveness and ensure consistent performance across diverse riding conditions.

The standard KYB rear shock has a 40mm bore body with 14mm shaft. A rebound adjuster but no compression adjustment, and a hydraulic preload adjuster. It's not a bad stock shock. Suspension settings are like the forks, low on preload and under damped, more designed for road use than any fast trail riding.
A little too soft, without enough damping once the suspension starts working hard. This kit gives more compression & rebound throughout the whole stroke, engineered to our exacting standards.

Spring rate is 8.8kg/mm stock with only 2mm installed preload. With some dyno runs on the stock shock we started changing the internal settings to increase damping levels while keeping the compliance an adventure bike needs. Once we were happy we swapped the stock spring for a 9.5kg/mm with more initial preload. The result was what we aimed for. A much more planted feel offroad while keeping the nice compliant road manners. Our aim is simple yet crucial: to significantly enhance the performance and resilience of the rear shock absorber, empowering riders to tackle off-road terrain with confidence and ease. Add a shock spring suited to your weight, and the difference will amaze you!

Also included is a shock shaft cylinder cap. The original is easily scratched and a little hard to remove. We have replaced it with a more easily serviceable item.

This is not a DIY kit, there is no need to modify any of the included parts, however it is not a job for you if you've never serviced a shock absorber before. If you think you'd need more guidance than the instructions provided in the photo in this listing please have a local suspension specialist fit them for you.
