Motorcycle Fork Compression Free Pistons

If your motorbike has modern "Separate Function Forks", you probably have a comp adjustment clicker on one top cap & reb on the other, but for many adjustable designs both caps have compression damping adjusters - learn more about open or closed chamber front forks. Adjuster assemblies are compact but complex, everything revolving around a threaded hollow centre rod.

One of these free pistons slides up & down it, assembled with inner & outer seals plus bushes to prevent oil getting past. These factory plastic floating pistons don't always cope with the heat & force from offroad abuse so we also have a range of super strong billet alloy performance pistons.
