Motorcycle Fork Left Inner Tube & Axle Lug Assembly

Older bikes had chrome steel pipe clamped in the triple trees, sliding inside the aluminium outer case at the bottom, with it's cast in axle clamps. This is a "Conventional" front fork & is still used on many retro cruisers - but most road or offroad sport bikes now use it's successor - "Up-Side Down" forks. USD Fork Legs have larger alloy upper tubes clamped at the top, chromed lower leg pipes sliding inside, with a separate pair of lugs at the bottom as the feet that clamp the front axle.

These OEM left fork inner tube assemblies are preassembled with seals, bottoming cone and the left axle lug. If your motorbike has a single front rotor, this side usually has brake calliper mounts at the back. The centre sealing bolt at the base of the feet often features rebound adjustment - find out how to use that adjuster effectively in our clicker setup guide.
