Fork casing tubes are kept concentric by split metal ring bushing sets on Up-Side Down Forks; the inner (or slide or piston) bush has a dark coating of teflon on the outside surface to slide easily, and fits over a groove at the top of your thinner hard chromed tube, while the outer (or guide) bush has a lining of teflon on the inside surface, and fits into a groove at the base of your larger aluminium alloy tube.
Motorbike front forks need regular servicing to replace worn parts and these guide bushing pairs are no different. We carry a range of brands; our own Teknik sets, genuine OEM parts from KYB & Showa suspension and performance aftermarket parts from Innteck.
If you need more than just the guide bushes when rebuilding your fork legs we recommend you check out our complete fork rebuild kits to save time & money.

These bushes wear badly without clean lubrication oil, so also need protection from the oil seal & the dust wiper - Teknik Motorsport offers a 3 month warranty on the fork seals we install at our workshop.
We recommend looking at our Fork Performance Parts section to find mud scrapers & tube protection covers if you regularly spend time offroad - but the best & cheapest thing you can do for your bike's suspension? Pressure wash it properly when you get home from riding! If the grit & dirt can't cake & dry on there to begin with, those seals don't get ripped up, that chrome doesn't pit, so none of it needs to be rebuilt as often.
