The stock DR650 is great, but most people find it too soft for their rider weight and use, so we have developed a balanced front & rear suspension upgrade kit - with the ultimate in extras.

Extensive dyno testing, road & trail riding, plus a huge database of customer feedback over many years have led us to the perfect adventure damping settings. This DIY upgrade kit sets the bike up for your rider weight and adds our platinum valves to the front forks, stopping the bike from diving under brakes and bottoming on landing, and our newest shock valve tuning to give stronger & more consistent response.

This isn't your average performance modification kit though. We know that most DR's wear through the basic consumables too, so we are including pairs of fork oil seals & dust wipers, a new shock seal head & bump rubber. And that shock spring is a pain to adjust the pre-load on, so we add a mechanical preload adjuster you can change with a socket in seconds. All in one place for a discount package cost!

DR's are famously easy to work on, but the detailed instructions for this comprehensive kit are included in case you're unsure.

The rates below are based on a standard rear shock absorber & front forks with the platinum tuning valves fitted. We know most riders carry gear/luggage on the DR, so we have already made an allowance for some gear and a big tank in this calculation. Please do not add up all your riding gear/luggage/fuel weight and make the selection based off that, your bike will end up much too stiff. If you really carry a lot of gear (35 kg +) and you are tall, go up one weight range heavier than specified.
