We have developed a complete front & rear suspension upgrade kit for your T700 Tenere. Extensive dyno testing, road & trail riding, plus a huge database of customer feedback over many years have led us to the perfect adventure damping settings for Yamaha's XTZ690. You can have the best balanced forks & shocks setup in one place for a discount package cost!

These are comprehensive kits and we provide detailed instructions but should only be installed by a professional suspension tuner, with the necessary tools.

For the front forks, our tuning kit will solve the bottoming out problems commonly complained about with the Tenere, and unless you are over 110kgs, the standard springs will work quite well. For heavier riders, we also sell the 19-106 HiCalibre Springs separately.

For the rear shock absorber, select the rider weight (in your riding gear) that corresponds to the following kit rates:

  • 75-85 kg - 7.5 kg/mm spring rate
  • 90-100 kg - 8.0 kg/mm spring rate
  • 110-120 kg - 8.5 kg/mm spring rate
  • 125-135 kg - 9.0 kg/mm spring rate
  • 135 kg + - 9.5 kg/mm spring rate

We recommend selecting the shock spring rate that corresponds to the weight you carry MOST of the time - so for example:

  • You weigh 95kg in your gear, carry a small amount of equipment (5kg) for most riding, but do the occasional trip loaded up - we recommend a 8.0kg/mm spring.
    With our valving kits & a small range of preload adjustability you will get the best result for your needs.
  • If you weigh 95kg in your gear, mostly do big trips with 25kgs of luggage, but might occasionally do an unladen ride - we recommend a 9.0kg/mm spring.
